IAM Engineer

About the Role

Join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Kraken, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, to play a critical role in securing our foundational systems. This full-time, remote position in Canada offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the global adoption of crypto by ensuring robust security and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and policies.
• Ensure secure and efficient access to systems and applications for all Krakenites.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to integrate IAM best practices into our infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity and access-related issues, ensuring system availability and security.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of security standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with identity protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Strong understanding of security concepts, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud IAM services (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with diverse teams.
