Immigration Consultant

About the Role

As an Immigration Consultant, you will play a crucial role in managing Deel's global mobility programs, ensuring seamless and compliant international assignments and relocations for employees worldwide. This position is vital for attracting and retaining top global talent by providing expert guidance and ensuring smooth transitions across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate case completion, adhering to SLAs and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate and schedule calls, consultations, and interviews for immigration processes.
• Deliver outstanding client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management.
• Maintain compliance with relevant immigration laws, regulations, and operational rules in assigned countries.
• Contribute to mobility product planning and scoping initiatives.
• Participate in initial mobility interviews.
• Manage daily tasks related to EORs, including assessing right-to-work requirements and submitting immigration applications.
• Liaise with local providers and government authorities to resolve complex immigration matters.
• Provide support to EORs and clients for mobility-related questions or concerns across all communication channels.
• Manage the entire mobility lifecycle for non-nationals, including work authorization checks, visa processing, renewals, and cancellations.
• Ensure the quality of mobility operations in assigned countries.
• Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive mobility experience, with at least 2-3 years as an Immigration Consultant or in a similar role.
• Ideally, a law degree or similar field, or paralegal experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong knowledge of key immigration categories.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to find solutions under pressure.
• Thoughtful people management and mentorship skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate immigration policies and processes effectively.
