Intermediate Backend Engineer, Application Security Testing

About the Role\nJoin our Application Security Testing team as an Intermediate Backend Engineer, where you'll develop and maintain critical features for our composition analysis tools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the security of software supply chains, working remotely across EMEA or North America.\n\n### Responsibilities\n- Implement new features and improve existing ones for our application security testing platform, specifically focusing on composition analysis.\n- Collaborate closely with Engineering peers, Product Managers, Security experts, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver high-quality solutions.\n- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient backend services using Golang.\n- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.\n- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production and development environments.\n\n### Requirements\n- Intermediate experience in backend software engineering.\n- Strong proficiency in Golang, with practical experience building and deploying backend services.\n- Understanding of application security concepts, particularly Software Composition Analysis (SCA) or similar security testing methodologies.\n- Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\n- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.\n- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\n### Nice-to-Haves\n- Familiarity with other security testing tools (SAST, DAST) or vulnerability management.\n- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\n- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis) and message queues.\n\n### Work Location\n- This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) or North America.
