International Tax Manager, Personal Income Tax

About the Role

Join Remote's Finance team during an exciting period of global expansion to manage and optimize complex personal income tax and social security obligations across our international workforce.

Responsibilities

• Advise on personal income tax and social security questions for all active countries.
• Determine and assess optimal equity options and payment structures.
• Collaborate with the payroll department to establish tax-efficient fund flows for salary packages and benefits in various jurisdictions.
• Assess local tax exposures related to personal income tax and social security in different countries.
• Support the team by addressing incoming tax inquiries from clients.
• Develop and maintain documentation resources to address recurring and potential customer questions regarding tax matters.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience, primarily within a consultancy environment, demonstrating solid performance in tax matters.
• Prior experience handling international taxation and financial operations.
• Experience working within a global law firm, Fintech company, or startup environment is required.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively using data-driven insights.
• Professional experience working with large datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience working in a fully remote capacity is considered a plus.
