Junior Digital Assets Trader

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Junior Digital Assets Trader, supporting our core Algorithmic Trading Business, primarily focused on our Digital FX Desk. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the deployment and optimization of trading algorithms in the fast-paced digital asset space.

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment of new algorithms, clients, and markets.
• Maintain a global updated view of all algorithmic trading operations.
• Execute trades across crypto spot, perpetuals, and options, and manage hedging for crypto and FX exposure.
• Perform trading operations including asset rebalancing across multiple CEXs and DEXs, and facilitate asset settlement.
• Implement preventative actions through spread adaptations and configuring conditions, pricing, and exposure thresholds on algorithmic trading bots.
• Monitor client service level agreements and evaluate trading performance using internal, exchange, and on-chain data.
• Track treasury activities and liaise with the finance team for asset balance accounting.
• Report technical and financial problems, providing support to the development team for improvements.
• Develop trading indicators for live trading strategies, focusing on SLA adherence and alpha generation.
• Conduct post-trade analysis to enhance trading strategies.
• Act as an internal point of contact for trading and market-related insights.
• Liaise with the Commercial team to provide insights to market-making clients on performance and SLA requirements.

Requirements

• Some cryptocurrency trading experience across CEXes and DEXes.
• Understanding of key traditional finance asset classes (e.g., options, futures, FX) from an educational perspective.
• Degree in a quantitative field (2.1 equivalent or above).
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to act and make decisions under pressure.
• Understanding of digital assets and blockchain technologies (particularly CEXes and DEXes).
• Adaptable and a strong team player.
• Good communication skills and fluent in English.
