Junior Legal Counsel

About the Role

This exciting Junior Legal Counsel role offers a unique opportunity to provide foundational legal support, assisting in critical contract review, legal research, and compliance monitoring for a rapidly growing global company. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure legal accuracy and regulatory adherence, contributing directly to Deel's success in Colombia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts, employment agreements, and policies.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory changes and industry standards.
• Support compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to local and global laws.
• Work with more senior legal counsel to analyze legal risks and provide recommendations.
• Maintain legal documentation and assist in policy development.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience, with a strong background in Colombian employment law matters.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
