About the Role

Join the Goodnotes Accounts (GNA) team as a Lead Backend Engineer to shape the future of secure and scalable identity management for millions of users. This pivotal role involves building the backbone of our cloud services, empowering both individual and enterprise customers across Asia and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable and secure backend services using JVM languages, primarily Kotlin.
• Drive the evolution of authentication, authorization, and identity management systems for our growing cloud ecosystem.
• Ensure the security and reliability of user access and data as new features and enterprise solutions are rolled out.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust platforms and APIs that empower other engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices within the team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development with JVM languages, with a strong preference for Kotlin.
• Proven track record in designing, building, and scaling distributed systems and cloud services.
• Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity management principles and technologies.
• Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and database technologies.
• Ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and drive architectural decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code.
