Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data infrastructure that powers analytics, machine learning, and operational AI workflows.
• Guide the team's technical direction, ensuring the successful delivery of data projects.
• Mentor and foster the technical and professional growth of mid-level data engineers through code reviews and one-on-one guidance.
• Contribute to and elevate a developer-focused culture, with a strong commitment to open source principles.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a seasoned Data Engineer, with a strong background in leading technical projects and teams.
• Expertise in data warehousing solutions like BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) and Meltano.
• Strong experience in data modeling using dbt.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Hex and PostHog.
• Experience with Reverse ETL solutions like Hightouch.
• A passion for contributing to open source projects and engaging with developer communities.
