Learning Experience Designer, ELA Multilingual Learning

About the Role

We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to drive the design and production of high-quality instructional materials for multilingual learners, blending second language acquisition research with scalable content.

Responsibilities

• Design ELD scopes and sequences, selecting and vetting grade-appropriate texts across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Author prototype lessons, student-facing activities, and assessments that provide scaffolded instruction for multilingual learners.
• Iterate on AI prompts to support curriculum production at scale and conduct human review of lessons for pedagogical quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional ELA and product teams to integrate ELD supports into standards-aligned content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field with an MLL/ELD specialization.
• 3+ years of experience in K-12 curriculum development, instructional design, or content creation focused on multilingual learners.
• Strong working knowledge of ELD standards, frameworks (WIDA, ELPS, California ELD), and second language acquisition principles.
• Excellent English writing, editing, and content review skills with a commitment to instructional rigor and accessibility.
