About the Role

Join our dynamic legal team as a Legal Counsel, focusing on Belgian and EMEA legal matters. This is an exciting opportunity to provide crucial legal guidance and support to a fast-growing global company, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of Belgian and EMEA laws and regulations, including commercial, corporate, employment, and data privacy matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Ensure the company's operations and policies comply with local and international legal requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different departments to support business initiatives and resolve legal issues.
• Manage and oversee external legal counsel relationships when necessary.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice law in Belgium.
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or an in-house legal department, with significant exposure to Belgian law.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian commercial law, contract law, corporate law, and data protection regulations (GDPR).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, and English is essential.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the technology sector or with global employment platforms.
• Familiarity with international private law or cross-border transactions.
• Additional language proficiency.
