Machine Learning Engineer, Ads

About the Role

This role is crucial for enhancing Reddit's advertising platform, focusing on delivering relevant and delightful ad experiences to users while building a best-in-class product for advertisers. You'll contribute to a rapidly innovating and growing area of the company, working remotely from Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to optimize ad ranking, targeting, and personalization.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to extract insights and identify opportunities for improving ad relevance and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, data science) to integrate ML solutions into production.
• Monitor, evaluate, and iterate on existing ML models to ensure their effectiveness and reliability in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, preferably in the ad tech or recommendation systems domain.
• Strong proficiency in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Expertise in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design for ML systems.
• Familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB) or ad exchange platforms.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field.

This is a remote position for candidates based in Ontario, Canada. Reddit offers a flexible workforce, allowing you to work remotely from any country where the company has a physical presence.
