About the Role
Join our dynamic sales team as a Major Account Executive, Acquisition, where you'll be instrumental in driving new business growth by securing strategic partnerships with key enterprise clients across the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales expertise to expand our market presence and significantly contribute to our company's success, working remotely from anywhere in the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and target major enterprise accounts for new business acquisition.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to penetrate target organizations and build a robust pipeline.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through to negotiation and successful deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts.
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Product, to deliver compelling value propositions.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and customer information within CRM systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of proven experience in an acquisition-focused Major Account Executive role, preferably within the SaaS or enterprise software industry.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles and the ability to navigate large, multi-stakeholder organizations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value to C-level executives.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while also collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and company events.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience selling observability, monitoring, or data analytics solutions.
- Established network of contacts within major enterprise accounts.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or Challenger Sale.
