Manager, Payroll Operations

About the Role

This role leads the France Payroll Operations, overseeing a team of specialists to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing. You will drive continuous improvement and collaborate across departments to support global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of team leads, providing direction and support.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams on key payroll data initiatives.
• Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor and analyze payroll data to identify trends, implement process improvements, and increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and deliver payroll-related training and communications across the organization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, providing guidance and support to other teams.
• Maintain relationships with external payroll vendors and tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate filing of reports and payments.
• Manage the performance and development of the payroll team, providing feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement payroll-related strategies and initiatives.
• Support team leads with client escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on documentation and covering gaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of French Payroll people management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll and HR.
• Experience managing a team and driving process improvements.
• Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions (Silae).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with implementation of new payrolls on an industry-recognized payroll solution is preferred.
