Manager, Software Engineering (Consumer Payments)

About the Role

Join our team as an Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing engineering teams, focusing on foundational payment APIs that enable global payment processing at scale. You will be a key member of our expanding engineering presence, owning the performance and availability of critical payment systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team responsible for full-stack payments services which power our financial products.
• Mentor engineers across multiple countries and timezones, to help improve their designs, code quality, and testing.
• Own availability and performance of your team’s systems.
• Partner with product managers to design and build clean APIs which can serve current and future use cases.
• Work with your team to develop internal API documentation and test environments to enable rapid financial product development.
• Partner with a diverse set of engineering teams who build financial products and perform financial transactions at the company.
• Build relationships and engage with management across the USA and Europe.

Requirements

• 1+ years managing high-performing engineering teams.
• 7+ years in software engineering roles.
• Prior experience growing and managing a high-performing engineering team that operates across timezones.

Role Context

This is a remote position based in the UK, working with a globally distributed team. You will be instrumental in building the backbone of our financial transaction capabilities, supporting both existing and new product development.
