ML Research Engineer, VLM Data

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ML Research Engineer to play a critical role in the development of next-generation Vision-Language Models (VLMs). This full-time, remote position is open to candidates across the United States, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the gathering and curation of high-quality vision-language midtraining and Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) datasets.
• Apply advanced dataset engineering techniques, including data curation, cleaning, augmentation, and synthetic data generation.
• Develop, write, and debug machine learning models using popular ML frameworks.

Requirements

• B.S. with 5+ years, M.S. with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience in a relevant field.
• Expertise in dataset engineering, covering data curation, cleaning, augmentation, and synthetic data generation techniques.
• Strong machine learning expertise, including the ability to write and debug models in popular ML frameworks.
• Proven experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs.
• Strong software development skills.
