Payroll Associate

About the Role

Join our global team as a Payroll Associate specializing in French payroll, based in Mauritius. In this crucial role, you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for our clients in France, contributing to Deel's mission of seamless global employment.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for French employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with French labor laws, social security regulations, and tax requirements.
• Manage payroll-related data, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams (HR, finance) to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Associate or similar role, with a focus on French payroll.
• Strong knowledge of French payroll legislation, social contributions, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote global team.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with global payroll platforms or PEO/EOR services.
• Familiarity with payroll processing for multiple countries.
• Relevant certifications in payroll or accounting.
