Payroll Associate

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Associate, where you will be instrumental in managing and ensuring the accuracy of payroll operations for our employees in Slovakia. This remote, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for Slovakian employees accurately and on time, ensuring all statutory deductions and benefits are correctly applied.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Slovak labor laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions.
• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing clear and timely resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration across systems.
• Prepare and submit required payroll reports to internal management and external regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Associate or similar role, with a strong focus on Slovak payroll processing.
• In-depth knowledge of Slovak payroll legislation, tax laws, and social security regulations.
• Proficiency in using payroll software and HRIS systems; experience with global platforms is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Slovak.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with a global payroll provider or in a rapidly scaling international company.
• Familiarity with EOR (Employer of Record) models and related payroll complexities.
• A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and efficiencies.
