About the Role

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end German payroll processes for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Ensure full compliance with German labor law, social security regulations, and tax requirements.
• Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Respond to and resolve payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports to internal and external authorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in German payroll processing, including a strong understanding of German tax and social security legislation.
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple payroll cycles accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team across European time zones (Hungary, Poland, Spain).

• Experience with global payroll platforms or HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of payroll practices in other European countries.
• A degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
