About the Role

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Japan-based employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Ensure strict compliance with Japanese labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax requirements.
• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit necessary payroll reports and filings to relevant authorities.
• Act as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal teams to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Japan payroll processing and management.
• In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor law, social insurance, and income tax regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems relevant to Japan.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience working with a global payroll provider or in a multi-country payroll environment.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and integrated payroll solutions.
