Payroll Expert, Brazil Payroll Management

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Expert specializing in Brazil, where you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations for our clients and workers in Brazil. This remote role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise within a leading global HR and payroll platform.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the full payroll cycle for Brazilian employees and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Guarantee strict adherence to all Brazilian labor laws, tax regulations (e.g., IRRF, INSS, FGTS), and social security requirements, including eSocial submissions.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with internal HR, finance, and legal teams, as well as external partners, on payroll-related matters.
• Monitor and interpret changes in Brazilian payroll legislation, advising on necessary adjustments to processes and systems.
• Provide expert guidance and support on complex payroll inquiries specific to Brazil.

Requirements

• Extensive proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years) as a Payroll Specialist or Expert with a strong focus on Brazilian payroll.
• Deep understanding of Brazilian labor laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions, including hands-on experience with eSocial.
• Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems; experience with global payroll platforms is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
