About the Role

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Indian entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure full compliance with all Indian payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements (e.g., Provident Fund, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS).
• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., HR, finance, legal) and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related queries.
• Stay updated on changes in Indian payroll legislation and implement necessary adjustments to processes and systems.
• Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Expert with a strong focus on Indian payroll management.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliances.
• Experience with various payroll software and systems, preferably within a global or multi-country context.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with global payroll platforms or in a Software as a Service (SaaS) company.
• Professional certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse teams and clients.
