Payroll Expert

About the Role

Join our global team as a Payroll Expert specializing in Iceland, where you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in a remote-first environment, contributing to seamless global operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Icelandic employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure strict compliance with Icelandic labor laws, tax regulations, and social security contributions.
• Process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee data within payroll systems.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, prepare relevant reports, and handle year-end closing activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all Iceland payroll-related inquiries, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams (HR, Finance) and external partners to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or Expert, with a strong focus on Icelandic payroll management.
• In-depth knowledge of Icelandic labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems; experience with global payroll platforms is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Work Arrangement

• This is a full-time, remote position, ideally based in Iceland or Finland, supporting European operations.
