Payroll Implementation Manager

About the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless setup and migration of payroll systems for Deel's global clients, leading the full implementation process from configuration to go-live. You will be a key guide for clients, ensuring accurate data transfer and a smooth transition while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of global payroll systems, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Organize and run kick-off meetings with clients and onboarding teams, creating and maintaining project plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all payroll project matters, scheduling and attending weekly status calls.
• Define and set up client payroll processes, establishing all payroll and data requirements, and managing payroll calendars.
• Configure system interfaces, reports, and settings to successfully deliver parallel and live payroll.
• Oversee the migration of payroll data from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and security.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to identify and resolve system issues.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, status reports, and process documentation.
• Ensure all payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws, staying updated on changes.
• Implement change management strategies for a seamless transition for employees and HR teams.
• Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data, including GL reports if required.
• Take ownership for escalating issues and reporting project status to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance.
• Proven experience with various payroll systems and software.
• Client-facing project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
