About the Role

Join Kraken's Finance team as a Platform Accounting Analyst to play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our innovative crypto platform, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of platform transactions and balances.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for process improvement.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to support new platform features and initiatives from an accounting perspective.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and internal financial policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an accounting or financial analyst role, preferably within a technology or financial services company.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain technology.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with large-scale financial platforms or high-volume transaction environments.
