Platform Support Engineer

About the Role

Join our APAC Customer Experience team as a Platform Support Engineer, where you will act as a technical partner to ML engineers, helping them diagnose and resolve complex distributed systems and infrastructure challenges in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with customer engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed training and inference workload issues.
• Investigate and debug failures involving Kubernetes orchestration, GPU allocation, networking, and storage systems.
• Analyze system logs, metrics, and traces to isolate root causes of performance bottlenecks.
• Build internal tooling, documentation, and runbooks to improve platform reliability and the overall customer experience.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform engineering teams to drive long-term operational improvements.

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering and systems troubleshooting, particularly within Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience operating machine learning workloads in production, including familiarity with PyTorch, CUDA, or NCCL.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex infrastructure issues into actionable guidance for technical customers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with distributed scheduling platforms like Ray, Kubeflow, or Slurm.
• Familiarity with high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RDMA) or bare-metal infrastructure operations.
• Proficiency in Python for writing automation, tooling, or scripts.
• Previous experience working in MLOps, AI infrastructure, or developer tooling companies.
