Principal Peering Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Peering Coordinator to manage and expand our global peering relationships, playing a critical role in the performance and connectivity of our Zero Trust Exchange platform. This is an exciting opportunity to shape global network strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a high-growth, AI-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage Zscaler’s global peering footprint in coordination with the network engineering team.
• Identify and pursue strategic new peering partners in both new and existing markets to optimize global connectivity.
• Lead negotiations and coordinate with legal teams to finalize peering agreements.
• Partner with network architecture and procurement teams to enable and scale peering connectivity globally.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of public internet exchanges and private peering practices.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in managing peering networks at common exchange points.
• Expert understanding of technical mechanisms for peering at physical and logical levels.
• Proven ability to identify strategic partners using data-driven insights and industry knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools to enhance workflows and problem-solving.

Nice-to-Haves

• Strong understanding of BGP protocol, router configurations, and technical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, cost calculations, and balance metrics for peering and transit agreements.
• Multilingual capabilities to effectively engage with international partners.
