About the Role

Join our fully remote team as a Principal Software Engineer, working across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, and Portugal. This pivotal role involves leading complex technical initiatives and shaping the future of our engineering practices and products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of highly scalable and robust software systems.
• Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and deliver innovative solutions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the long-term maintainability, performance, and security of our platforms.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in software development, with a significant portion in a leadership or principal engineering role.
• Deep expertise in designing and building complex, distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C#) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to influence technical direction.
