Principal Technical Program Manager, Developer Productivity

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead company-wide initiatives for AI-assisted engineering workflows, shaping how Reddit builds software in the era of agentic development. You will partner with senior leadership to ensure these tools are safe, measurable, and effective, driving both technical execution and the cultural shift required for durable adoption.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into executable programs across agent infrastructure, AI-assisted code review, and developer environments.
• Define the operating model for AI-native productivity, including guardrails, success metrics, and risk management.
• Drive company-level alignment across infrastructure, security, machine learning, and product engineering teams.
• Build measurement systems to track engineering outcomes, such as change failure rates, developer satisfaction, and AI-assisted code quality.
• Lead the cultural change required for teams to transition from experimentation to durable, high-trust adoption of AI workflows.

Requirements

• 14+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, or developer platform domains.
• Deep fluency in developer productivity systems, including CI/CD, code review, testing, and deployment automation.
• Proven experience leading multi-year, multi-organization programs with executive visibility.
• Strong understanding of AI/LLM-enabled software development, including agent workflows, governance, and operational risk.
• Exceptional ability to influence without authority and bridge gaps between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building internal developer platforms or large-scale engineering productivity tools.
• Background in defining and implementing AI governance, cost controls, and compliance frameworks for engineering organizations.
