Principal Trader

About the Role

Step into a pivotal role as a Principal Trader for EMEA Institutional clients, where you will leverage your expertise to drive significant trading volumes and contribute to the strategic growth of our leading OTC desk in the dynamic crypto market.

Responsibilities

• Execute large-block, OTC trades for institutional clients across the EMEA region.
• Manage trading risk, P&L, and inventory effectively across various digital assets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Contribute to market making activities and liquidity provision for a diverse range of cryptocurrencies.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to inform trading strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in institutional trading, ideally within OTC, FX, fixed income, or crypto markets.
• Deep understanding of market microstructure, risk management principles, and trading execution strategies.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to make rapid, data-driven decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, assets, and blockchain technology.
• Fluency in English; additional EMEA languages are a plus.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with algorithmic trading systems or quantitative trading strategies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL for data analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to digital asset trading in EMEA.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
