About the Role

Join our team as a Privacy Specialist to ensure data protection and compliance across our innovative platform. This role is crucial in safeguarding user trust and maintaining our commitment to privacy best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive privacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new products and features.
• Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance on privacy-by-design principles to product, engineering, and legal teams.
• Respond to data subject requests and assist in managing privacy-related incidents and breaches.
• Stay informed about evolving privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related legal/technical role.
• Strong understanding of global data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Professional privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT).
• Experience with privacy management software and tools.
• Background in a technology or software development company.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and their intersection with privacy.
