Product Security Engineer

About the Role

Join Chainguard to enhance the security of our products and empower our engineering organization. This role is critical in defending our customers and ensuring security is integrated into every stage of development.

Responsibilities

• Defend the security of Chainguard customers and products.
• Respond to security incidents and events.
• Partner with the engineering organization to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Operate and monitor DevSecOps tooling, leveraging AI capabilities.
• Coordinate with external reporters and researchers on security findings.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a Science field.
• Demonstrated interest in Product or Application Security.
• Experience with software development, preferably in Go or Python.
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals and SDLC principles.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Familiarity with the Open Source Software community and development practices.
• Alignment with core values: low ego, high-character, growth mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tools.
