QA Engineer

About the Role

Join a rapidly growing, Series A funded company as our first dedicated QA Engineer, playing a pivotal role in establishing and driving quality across our innovative web and mobile e-commerce platform. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our quality assurance strategy and ensure a seamless, human-centric shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a user advocate, understanding feature intent and identifying critical issues.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, designers, and developers to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Establish and lead quality assurance processes across our entire web and mobile platform.
• Independently design comprehensive testing scenarios.
• Ensure all product requirements are clearly defined and testable.
• Guide development teams in building features with a strong focus on quality from the outset.
• Initially focus on hands-on testing of our web product.
• Identify and implement high-value test automation using modern, industry-standard frameworks.
• Expand QA coverage and automation efforts across our mobile applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, capable of working independently and taking full ownership of quality processes.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with web product testing.
• Ability to think critically and identify user-impacting issues.
• Must have full right to work in Romania; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with test automation framework implementation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with mobile application testing.
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
