Recovery Consulting Specialist

About the Role

Join Halcyon, a leader in anti-ransomware solutions, as a Recovery Consulting Specialist. This critical role involves providing white-glove service and technical expertise to customers navigating high-stress ransomware recovery projects, ensuring successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Represent Halcyon during ransomware recovery projects, interacting with diverse stakeholders including insurance, incident response, client executives, and technical staff.
• Coordinate with technical teams at client sites to configure and execute Halcyon's project methodology.
• Analyze and assess recovery project status, setting goals and initiatives for continuous progress.
• Create and deliver daily reports and status updates to various stakeholders.
• Apply Windows system administration skills, including software installation, monitoring, remote access configurations, and managing Windows-based security components (user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, local security policies).
• Utilize Linux administration skills for similar tasks.
• Implement and manage virtualization solutions such as ESXi, HyperV, and VirtualBox.
• Install, configure, and administer network technologies and protocols including RDP, SSH, DHCP, DNS, and proxies.
• Collaborate closely with Halcyon's engineering team to provide feedback for product enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Work with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs for engagements.
• This role requires the capability of traveling on short notice to client sites up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within information security consulting, managed services, or technical support.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate effectively with highly technical management teams.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Willingness to lead by example and actively participate in the workload.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Maintains a positive attitude and adapts quickly to change.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience as a penetration tester or other offensive security professional.
• Experience as an incident responder with documented case examples and outcomes.
• Coding skills in Python, with examples of projects and their contributions to past roles.
