Risk & Internal Controls Analyst

About the Role

This role is pivotal for safeguarding our platform by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring the integrity of our operations and compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a critical part in strengthening our security posture and internal control environment within a dynamic, fully remote crypto company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across IT systems, processes, and operations.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Identify control deficiencies, recommend remediation strategies, and track their implementation.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and analysis.
• Monitor compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with various teams to embed risk management principles into daily operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) in risk management, internal controls, IT audit, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate complex risk and control concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• This is a remote position based in Ireland.

Nice-to-Haves

• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CIA, or similar.
• Experience within the financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency industry.
• Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools.
