Sales Commission Analyst

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Sales Commission Analyst, where you'll ensure the accuracy and clarity of commission payouts, playing a crucial role at the intersection of finance, sales operations, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and process commission payouts accurately and on time each pay cycle, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Own the mechanics of commission plans, ensuring calculations, tiers, and accelerators align with plan documentation.
• Query and reconcile data across systems to validate commissionable revenue and investigate payout questions.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and RevOps to roll out new or updated comp plans, translating plan changes into auditable calculations.
• Respond to sales representative commission questions with clear, reliable written communication.
• Build and maintain tools and dashboards for transparent commission tracking and self-service.

Requirements

• Demonstrated spreadsheet mastery with the ability to build and audit complex models.
• Working SQL skills, comfortable pulling and reconciling data from multiple sources.
• Understanding of commission plan structures and the ability to translate them into accurate calculations.
• Exceptional attention to detail for identifying and resolving errors.
• Strong written communication skills for explaining financial data to non-analysts.
• Proven ability to own projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.
• 0-2 years of experience in FP&A, sales operations, commissions/compensation, analytics, or a similar analytical role.
