About the Role
Join Kraken's institutional team to drive growth and expand our presence across Latin America. This exciting role focuses on building and nurturing relationships with key institutional clients, accelerating the adoption of crypto in a dynamic market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire and onboard new institutional clients (e.g., hedge funds, asset managers, family offices) in the LATAM region.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing institutional clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored crypto solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Kraken's institutional products and services, including trading, custody, and other offerings.
- Represent Kraken at industry conferences, events, and client meetings throughout Latin America.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product, legal, compliance, and marketing, to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the LATAM institutional market.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in institutional sales or business development, ideally within the cryptocurrency, fintech, or traditional finance sectors.
- Strong existing network and deep understanding of the institutional investment landscape in Latin America.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and institutional trading requirements.
- Fluency in English and at least one other major LATAM language (Spanish or Portuguese) is essential.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage a pipeline effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience working at a crypto exchange, prime broker, or a leading financial institution.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and reporting.
- Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant financial certifications (e.g., CFA).
