Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security

About the Role

Join our Infrastructure Security team as a Security Engineer, where you will be instrumental in safeguarding our systems and data. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance the security posture of our core infrastructure and ensure the privacy and safety of our users' information, working remotely from the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across our infrastructure.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
• Develop and automate security processes and tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer with a focus on infrastructure security.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and network security.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and tool development.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection systems.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors, exploitation techniques, and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States or Canada.

Nice-to-Haves

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC).
• Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Contributions to open-source security projects or active participation in the security community.
• Experience with container security and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
