About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend services using Node.js.
• Implement and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring our systems are future-proof and maintainable.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong track record in Node.js development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with various AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with database technologies, both relational and NoSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, globally distributed team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Located in Croatia and eligible for full-time remote work.
