Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs with Node.js.
• Leverage a wide range of AWS services to build resilient and scalable cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and operational excellence of our systems.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, API Gateway).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Background in FinTech, HR tech, or global payroll solutions.
