Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and robust backend services using Node.js.
• Implement and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that enhance Deel's global payroll and HR platform.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability of services.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Node.js development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with various AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment.
