Senior Backend Engineer - Client Integrations

About the Role

Join our dynamic Client Integrations team to design and build the external-facing APIs that power our customers' core workflows, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of AI in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust API endpoints for client integrations.
• Optimize database and query performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Integrate with a diverse range of third-party services to enhance platform capabilities.
• Translate product requirements into reliable business logic and backend solutions.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues to ensure platform stability.
• Collaborate with a global team of engineers to build scalable backend systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on external-facing APIs or third-party system integrations.
• Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, EC2) and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and complex problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership, communicate proactively, and drive projects to completion.
• A mindset geared towards experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous learning.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with LLMs/generative AI.
