Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major backend projects using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable APIs and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other engineers.
• Debug and resolve complex technical and business issues.
• Investigate and implement improvements to our platform, focusing on automation and agentic workflows.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a proven track record of shipping production systems.
• Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Ability to think in systems, define clear specifications, and ensure quality through verification.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
