Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives.
• Design and operationalize agentic workflows to deliver outcomes faster and more efficiently.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of high-quality code reviews and technical excellence.
• Debug and solve complex technical issues while maintaining a deep understanding of the product domain.
• Build reusable agentic primitives and verification loops to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable system performance.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a proven track record of shipping production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Elixir and Phoenix, or deep experience in functional programming with a willingness to master Elixir.
• Practical experience designing or adopting automation and agentic workflows.
• Strong expertise in database management using PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and the ability to integrate AI capabilities into engineering workflows.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Frontend experience with modern frameworks such as Next.js or React.
