Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance APIs with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and actively contribute to cross-team technical initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and feedback during product discussions to suggest and implement platform improvements.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge across the team.
• Debug and resolve complex technical and business issues across the platform.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, contributing to overall team growth and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience as a Backend Engineer building, shipping, and maintaining complex software using Elixir.
• Proven expertise with Postgres or similar relational databases.
• Experience working within a mature CI/CD environment (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Ability to design and implement robust APIs that meet high standards for performance and reliability.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js, React, or Vue/Angular.
