Senior Backend Engineer, Node.js + AWS

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js.
• Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical strategy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on Node.js development.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS).
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work full-time, remotely from Hungary.
