Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Implement and optimize data processing pipelines for monitoring and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and integrate backend services.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of platform insights systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with significant expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis) and effective data modeling.
• Proven experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

• Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
