Senior CloudOps Engineer - Observability

About the Role

We are seeking an Observability Hero to design, build, and own the end-to-end observability strategy for our distributed cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability and visibility, directly impacting our ability to deliver a seamless experience for our users.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies, including metrics, logs, and distributed tracing.
• Manage and optimize product infrastructure across GCP and AWS environments.
• Ensure high availability with a focus on maintaining a 99.9% uptime SLA.
• Participate in incident response and management, including on-call rotations.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives to automate and scale our services.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Graylog, Fluentd).
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service-oriented architectures.
• Advanced experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS) and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid background in Linux administration and network security.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Istio, Nginx, or HAproxy for load balancing.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working within a Scrum-based, collaborative engineering team.
