Senior Compliance Manager

About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Compliance Manager to lead and enhance our compliance program, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and IT controls. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to manage the full compliance lifecycle and collaborate across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SOX compliance program, covering financial reporting controls and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Coordinate testing activities with process owners and external auditors, identifying deficiencies and overseeing remediation.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, controls, and testing results.
• Provide guidance and training on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Plan and lead internal audit projects, developing risk-based audit plans and presenting findings to leadership.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and partner with cross-functional teams for process improvements.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering collaboration across finance, IT, and business operations.
• Participate in strategic projects, embedding compliance considerations into decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, internal audit, or SOX compliance, preferably in a public technology or software company.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX 404, COSO, and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Proven experience leading or managing compliance programs and coordinating with external auditors.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and compliance management tools (e.g., AuditBoard, Workiva).

• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
• Background in Big Four public accounting or internal audit leadership within a public company.
