Senior Consultant/Resident Engineer

About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Consultant/Resident Engineer to serve as a technical anchor, helping clients implement and manage cloud-native security solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This role is a unique opportunity to drive high-impact security integrations while working in a dynamic, AI-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend configuration strategies for Zscaler products based on specific customer requirements.
• Integrate with customer cyber and network security teams to provide expert guidance and best practices.
• Lead complex testing and troubleshooting efforts, coordinating with internal support and engineering teams to resolve critical issues.
• Provide regular status reporting and maintain a high level of responsiveness to meet customer project goals.

Requirements

• Active US Government Public Trust security clearance.
• 6+ years of experience in a Resident Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or Architect role.
• Deep technical knowledge of IPSEC, GRE, DNS, Proxy, SSL Inspection, and authentication protocols like SAML and LDAP.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Experience with systems administration across routers, firewalls, and major operating systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Direct experience with US Government, DoD, or DoW programs.
• Expertise in cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, or PCNSA.
