Senior Counsel – Product – UK/Europe Legal

About the Role

Join our dynamic legal team as a Senior Product Counsel, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovative financial products across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic legal guidance, ensuring compliance and enabling the development of cutting-edge solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on the development, launch, and operation of new and existing products, with a focus on crypto and blockchain technologies.
• Monitor and interpret UK and EU financial services regulations, consumer protection laws, and data privacy laws relevant to product offerings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, terms of service, and legal disclosures for products.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, compliance, and business teams to identify and mitigate legal risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage regulatory inquiries and assist in obtaining necessary licenses or approvals in the UK and European jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
• Admission to practice law in the UK or a major European jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of experience practicing product law, financial services regulation, or technology law, preferably within a fintech or crypto company.
• Deep understanding of UK and EU regulatory frameworks applicable to financial products, digital assets, and consumer protection.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical, business-oriented advice.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with specific crypto-asset regulations (e.g., MiCA, AMLD6).
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) in a product context.
• Prior experience working in a fully remote or distributed team.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.

Work Arrangement

• This is a full-time, remote position, open to candidates based in the UK or other European countries.
